Where to find every Mysterious Dog toy
In total, there are seven Mysterious Dog sightings with toys you need to find. We've listed them all below:
Note: Make sure to interact with the dog after you retrieve its toy each time to update your quest log.
Where to find the Mysterious Dog toy in Central

As mentioned, you'll first find the Mysterious Dog on a rooftop in Central. And while I searched the streets for a pet shop, it turned out you don't need to go anywhere at all. Look at the Mysterious Dog and then, simply, turn around.

There's an alleyway below with some dangerous-looking lasers darting across it. If you look in the back left-hand corner of this area, you'll notice a sign for Chowrap. You'll find one of these in all seven locations. There's a little blue and purple dragon toy that the Mysterious Dog wants next to this sign, so drop down and grab it.

Once you have it in your hands, you won't be able to use Reach, so you'll need to head to the street and use the fire escape and rooftops to jump and hover your way back up to the Mysterious Dog. Then, place the toy in his dog bed.

Where to find the Mysterious Dog toy in Downtown

In the far south of Downtown, as shown above, you'll be able to locate the Mysterious Dog on another rooftop. As you face the dog, turn to your left and you'll notice a Chowrap billboard. You may even be able to spot the dragon waiting to be picked up by the door on the rooftop directly next to it.

It's a pretty simple one. All you need to do is hover over to retrieve it and then use your skills to jump back up the building to give it back to the dog.

Where to find the Mysterious Dog toy in the Evacuation Zone

Head a little north of the sinkhole in the Evacuation Zone to uncover the pawprint on your map. Depending on your current gravity, you'll either come across the Mysterious Dog on your level, or hovering above you in a gravity switch-up.

The dragon toy will be on the flip-reverse of the dog, pretty much directly above it (or below) by two Chowrap billboards, so all you need to do is switch the gravity and grab the toy. Considering holding the toy bars you from using Reach, you'll then need to activate a Gravity Anomaly to switch the gravity back and give the toy to the dog.

Where to find the Mysterious Dog toy in the West Incursion Zone

Your next run in with the Mysterious Dog happens in the West Incursion Zone. After you've unlocked the MAP Kit in this location (or just by wandering around), you'll see another paw print.

You'll notice a Chowrap poster on the wall just beside the dog, and you'll need to use the Gravity Anomaly you've now unlocked through the Jesse sighting in the West Incursion Zone to climb up the wall beside this poster, just to the left of where the Mysterious Dog is. At the top, you'll spot the toy.

Use gravity again to return the toy and place it in the dog's bed, etching off yet another Mysterious Dog encounter.

Where to find the Mysterious Dog toy in The Park

There are a few ways to get the Mysterious Dog toy in The Park, and each method depends on your skills. You'll find the dog on a rooftop marked on the map above. While facing him, if you look to your right, then look up, you'll see a massive Chowrap sign.

Now, you can use the ramp-shaped rooftop nearby to try to perform a double jump and hover to get yourself up onto the lift platform. And if you manage that, nice. If not, you may notice a broken-down power unit that needs power carried over to it.

Fortunately, as is the case with these units, there's power nearby at the Power Core Station. You'll need to do some quick parkour to carry the power straight from the station to the lift unit.

However, if you've unlocked the Ground Slam ability, you'll notice a point on your map to utilise the skill, crashing down onto the rooftop and revealing a hidey-hole with two broken-down power units that you'll be able to carry the power to halfway. Then, pick it up again and carry it the rest of the way. Up the platform, you'll retrieve the dragon toy and be able to fly it back pretty easily.

Another paw print will appear in the Underpass, and here you'll need to be a little bit clever with your use of gravity.

The Mysterious Dog will appear in the middle of a rather empty area, aside from some terrain you'll need to work around to retrieve its toy. The toy will be on the flip-reverse of the Mysterious Dog.

Use your gravity to get the toy, but you won't be able to use it to get back to the Mysterious Dog. For this, you need to do a little leap of faith, dropping down off the edge that cuts in on the platform where the toy is. You'll need to line up your drop or jump a little to get yourself back onto the platform where the dog is and then pop it in its bed.

Where to find the Mysterious Dog toy in the Unknown

The Unknown is most likely the final location you'll reach in Control Resonant's natural progression, and you'll find the Mysterious Dog on the northwest island of this strange zone.

From the dog's rooftop, you'll need to face left to notice a large billboard and lights on the edge of a building. You'll then notice a large 'Bar' sign with an arrow pointing down. At the bottom of the arrow, you'll find the toy.

You'll need to play around with gravity here to get yourself up and then battle a Hedron, but the journey back to the Mysterious Dog is a lot simpler.

How to claim the Mysterious Dog mission reward

Now, once you've completed all seven locations, you might be wondering, what now? The quest doesn't complete, and the log doesn't tell you what's next. For a moment, it might seem like there's no reward. But Control Resonant assumes you'll go back to the Gap at some point (and you definitely will), but to make things faster, that's where the Mysterious Dog now lives.

As you interact with the dog, you'll unlock an artifact: Trusted Spanner. This will increase Dylan's raw damage output by 15%, which is a pretty big deal. It'll cost you 4 Undefined Reading, 400 Source and 3 Violent Echo. I was sort of hoping the dog would become my trusted companion, but I guess I'll take a magical spanner instead.
