To celebrate Silent Hill: Townfall's release I ranked all my coworkers based on whether I think they could actually survive the horrors of St Amelia

I've played enough horror games at this point to wonder whether I'd be any good at actually surviving one. While some games are simply out of the question after finishing Silent Hill: Townfall recently I came to the conclusion that yes, given the right circumstances I'd probably make it to the end. But what about the rest of the PC Gamer team? Well I have an answer for that as well.

We've got a good amount of horror aficionados on the team which helps, and I've given extra points to those of us who've either played Townfall or Silent Hill games similar enough to know what to do in the distressing scenes ahead. But I have to admit most of the list was vibes-based research.

There were only three coworkers I couldn't rank and therefore put them in the 'Wild card' category because they are so utterly unpredictable that they'd either fly through the game or be unable to get out of the water. Or as our own Joshua Wolens put it: "me, Kara, and Andy are about to die horribly in the zombie apocalypse* or prove a very important point."

While I'm positive that every single person on our team could breeze through Townfall's tricky puzzles, the deciding factor are its monsters which start out rather tame but then take a steep difficulty curve towards the end of the game. Even still, I'm fairly confident that about half of the team could make it to the end of the game. As for the rest? Godspeed soldiers.

*Josh thought we were talking about Resident Evil.
