How many of you have started a Minecraft world, made your first house, explored the Nether, and found an End Portal only to stop just short of defeating the Ender Dragon? I've done it more times than I'd care to admit, constantly juggling realms and getting bored of projects. Well, it turns out that we never had to do anything, because given enough time Minecraft may just defeat itself.
It may sound ridiculous but given the exact right seed and circumstances it can happen, Minecraft YouTuber RedLogic proved it.

RedLogic started off by making a simulation which can sort through various Minecraft seeds to find the one which had all the right and very specific requirements such as a completed end portal which was close enough to the surface to be discovered by mobs, and pumpkins, lots and lots of pumpkins. The next step was using a monte carlo simulation to compress billions of ordinary ticks (time passing in Minecraft) into "statistically sampled waiting times".

It then came to running the simulation in Minecraft world seed -535646876083114041:
- Year 33,477 (7x the length of recorded human history): The first bit of progress was made when a pumpkin was picked up by an Enderman.
- Year 33,479: That pumpkin was then made into a snow golem which can fire projectiles at mobs.
- Year 35,510: The snow golem provoked a creeper and blew open a section of the route to the completed End Portal.
- Year 35,512: Another snow golem rocked up, fought two creepers which completely opened up a path to the completed End Portal. Surface mobs can now enter the End.
- Year 1,300,000: Endermen began entering the End and placing blocks all around the Ender Dragon's lair, gradually making paths up to all the End Crystals.
- Year 3,000,000: The first snow golem entered the End and accidentally destroyed an End Crystal.
- Year 122,415,210: 8/10 End Crystals had been destroyed.
- Year 181,000,000: A snow golem entered the End and destroyed the ninth End Crystal.
- Year 199,000,000: After wandering the End for 18 million years it destroyed the last End Crystal.
- Year 227,000,000: The first creeper explosion connected and dealt 4 damage to the Ender Dragon.
After a billion years the Ender Dragon's health was whittled down by snow golem attacks and creeper explosions but it wasn't until 1.975 billion years that the last hit connected with the Ender Dragon and killed it. Felling the beast and defeating Minecraft.
After all of this RedLogic shows us what the End and overworld looked like and it's surreal. Blocks are stacked everywhere, creeper explosions have marred the land, and there's no signs of life to be seen. But it was all worth it because the game was finally complete.
