Free League Publishing and partner Two Little Mice have opened pre-orders for two new tabletop RPGs launching in physical form later this fall: fantasy adventure Twilight Sword and cinematic superhero RPG Outgunned Superheroes. Both are available for pre-order now through the Free League store, with immediate PDF access included.

Inspired by classics like The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, and Studio Ghibli films, Twilight Sword sends players to the Lands of Radia as Champions chosen to fight the evil Scourge and restore Hope to a world consumed by Despair. The game uses a simple roll-under d12 system called CAT, with players choosing from five Kin—including a penguin, yes—and six Ways to customize their hero. Hope and Despair mechanics, travel rules, cooking, brewing, and elemental powers all factor into the adventure. The lineup also includes a lands expansion, a Starter Set with dice and pre-made Champions, and a card chest packed with monsters, bosses, and gear.

On the superhero side, Outgunned Superheroes brings the fast-paced Outgunned system to the world of capes and powers. Players choose a Role and Trope to build their hero, with the game using dice pools of six-sided dice and matching symbols for quick, cinematic action. It’s fully standalone but can also be combined with the Outgunned Core Rulebook for extra options. Supporting releases include a new volume of Action Flicks covering killer robots, kaiju, and time travel, plus an introductory campaign and a GM screen.

Pre-orders are live now, with physical releases expected later this fall.
