🖥 PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PCOnimusha: Way of the Sword - All bosses
!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/rasho-gan.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) Onimusha: Way of the Sword(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/onimusha-the-way-of-the-sword) marks the triumphant return of Capcom's samurai action franchise after a twenty-year hiatus, with all of the hallmarks that it possessed back in the PlayStation 2 days, including fast action, Issen counterattacks, and plenty of screen-filling bosses. Miyamoto Musashi will need every ounce of his wits and skill to beat these contenders, many of whom are dangerously fierce and reminiscent of Soulslike opponents, even though Way of the Sword is more of a traditional hack 'n slash action adventure game. Way of the Sword offers two difficulty modes upon startup, including a Story Mode that will let you decimate most enemies in your path. But on Action Mode, none of these bosses are a walk in the park, and some will even be a challenge on Story Mode. To help Musashi rise supreme against all contenders, we've got you covered with our comprehensive list of all bosses in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, along with strategies for beating them. 🖥 PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PCOnimusha: Way of the Sword - How to get Power Stones
!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/musashi-standing-by-shrine.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) Power Stones in Onimusha: Way of the Sword(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/onimusha-the-way-of-the-sword) are one of the most important currency types you can get. You need Power Stones to unlock most of Musashi's major skills. And yet for all their significance, Way of the Sword never tells you where or how to find them. There are two main ways of getting Power Stones. One is largely outside your control, as it happens naturally while you progress the story. The other takes a bit of tracking down, and careful exploration of each level outside of the central Kyoto hub. In this guide, we'll explain how to get Power Stones in Onimusha: Way of the Sword and what to look out for while you're searching for treasure. 🖥 PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PCOnimusha: Way of the Sword - Underground Laboratory mask puzzle solution
!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/musashi-standing-with-masks.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) Onimusha: Way of the Sword(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/onimusha-the-way-of-the-sword)'s Underground Laboratory mask puzzle is a bit of a head scratcher. It's one of the first times the game gives you a puzzle and expects you to figure out the answer based on the environment, and unless you're paying close attention, it's easy to overlook or overthink the clues. It's also the end of the road until you figure out the solution, as solving the mask puzzle is part of progressing through the Underground Laboratory. 🖥 PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PCOnimusha: Way of the Sword - How to parry and deflect
!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/miyamoto-musashi-holding-sword.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) Parrying and deflecting in Onimusha: Way of the Sword(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/onimusha-the-way-of-the-sword) might seem like your standard action game moves, but they're among the most essential skills you can use in any fight. Deflecting initially seems good for dealing with the pesky Genma archers that seem to infest every corner of Kyoto, and it is. However, it's also the fastest way to whittle down an enemy's stamina bar, which opens them up to critical hits. Parrying, meanwhile, does more than just block an incoming hit without Musashi taking stamina damage and losing his stance. Depending on where you're fighting, you can throw enemies into each other, which instantly depletes their stamina, or chuck them into a wall and disrupt their battle flow for a bit. Parrying is also how you activate the Blaze state, which increases your damage. You should get in the habit of regularly using both skills. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to parry and deflect in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and when it's best to pull off each move. 🎮 PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Multi-platformTwo Nintendo Directs Air Next Week, And One Of Them Celebrates Zelda's 40th Anniversary
!Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2023/11/07/6a96790c/zelda.jpg.webp) Apparently not to be outdone by PlayStation airing back-to-back State of Play presentations this week(https://gameinformer.com/state-of-play/2026/09/03/everything-announced-at-the-september-2026-playstation-state-of-play), Nintendo has announced two Direct broadcasts scheduled for next week. This includes a traditional Nintendo Direct and a special Direct celebrating The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary. The news was first announced on the Nintendo Today app. On Tuesday, September 8, The Legend of Zelda: 40th Anniversary Direct airs at 7:00 a.m. PT/10:00 a.m. ET. It will last approximately 30 minutes. Nintendo has not detailed what announcements to expect, but it's fair to assume updates on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake(https://gameinformer.com/nintendo-direct/2026/06/09/the-nintendo-switch-2-remake-of-the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time) and the live-action film The Legend of Zelda(https://gameinformer.com/2026/05/13/the-legend-of-zelda-movie-premiere-date-moved-up-one-week) are on the table. The next day, Wednesday, September 9, a standard Nintendo Direct airs at 7:00 a.m. PT/10:00 a.m. ET. This presentation will run for roughly 45 minutes. It’s anyone’s guess as to what to expect. Announced upcoming Nintendo first-party/Switch-exclusive projects, other than the aforementioned Ocarina of Time, include Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave(https://gameinformer.com/preview/2026/08/13/a-slow-build-that-hasnt-quite-hooked-me-yet-but-i-want-to-keep-playing), which launches on September 17, as well as Xenoblade Genesis(https://gameinformer.com/nintendo-direct/2026/06/09/xenoblade-genesis-revealed-and-it-launches-on-nintendo-switch-2-next) and Pokémon Winds and Waves(https://gameinformer.com/pokemon-presents/2026/02/27/pokemon-winds-and-waves-is-arriving-next-year), both of which arrive next year. Nintendo has a penchant for announcing major projects with little to no prior hints or leaks, so it's fair to expect just about anything could be showcased next week. What announcements do you hope/expect to see at these Nintendo Directs? Let us know in the comments! !(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/09/04/5e263dc6/zelda-direct-nintendo-today.jpg.webp)!(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/09/04/c17336c7/nintendo-today-nintendo-direct-september2026.jpg.webp)
🍄 Nintendo Switch, Multi-platformNintendo Officially Confirms A 'Zelda' 40th Anniversary Direct Is Coming
Nintendo surprises fans with two Directs in a single week, one for Zelda and the other for general games coming to Nintendo Switch 2
🍄 Nintendo Switch, Multi-platformTwo Nintendo Directs Announced For Next Week, Including A Zelda Presentation
Not one, but two Nintendo Directs are coming next week. Nintendo has confirmed that a Legend of Zelda Direct will be held on September 8 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, and it'll be followed by a Nintendo Direct on September 9 at the same times. The Legend of Zelda: 40th Anniversary Direct will run for 30 minutes, while the Nintendo Direct is scheduled to run for 45 minutes. For a closer look at the games shown off, you can also tune in to a Nintendo Treehouse livestream after the Nintendo Direct, which will run for roughly 110 minutes. Rumors of a Nintendo Direct(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/a-september-10-nintendo-direct-is-looking-likely-thanks-to-just-dance/) began picking up earlier this week after Ubisoft announced that a new look at Just Dance: Decades of Hits was on the way. It's worth noting that the publisher announced it for September 10, but given how often Just Dance games appear in Nintendo broadcasts, it was assumed this would be the date of a Nintendo Direct. With Nintendo hosting a September Nintendo Direct almost every year for the past decade--with 2024 being an exception--it looked like it was only a matter of time before the broadcast was officially announced. https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/2095874535740309635?s=20 As for what you can expect, Nintendo is keeping its lips zipped for now. Last year's September Direct(https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/nintendo-direct-september-2025-all-the-biggest-announcements/2900-702) was focused on several first-party games, smaller third-party titles, and the surprise reveal of a new Virtual Boy headset designed for Switch consoles, so we're guessing that it'll be more of the same for 2026. Following the release of the Switch 2 in 2025 and a steady stream of first-party games, 2026 has been slower by comparison, so here's hoping we get to see what new experiences Nintendo is working on. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is out later this month, so we'll probably get a new trailer for the turn-based tactics game. When it comes to The Legend of Zelda, it feels like Nintendo has barely acknowledged that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the beloved hero in green, but this could be a prime time to show what's on the horizon. The remake of Ocarina of Time(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendo-finally-reveals-the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-remake-for-2026/) was announced several months ago, and there's also the upcoming live-action movie(https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/the-legend-of-zelda-movie-release-date-trailer-story/2900-6252/)--so a teaser trailer wouldn't be unwelcome. If we're lucky, we might even get confirmation that The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is finally coming to Switch consoles.
