Overview & Key Takeaways

Struggling to decide which of the Forza Horizon 6 starter cars you should start off with? Deciding which car to pick first in Forza Horizon 6 feels like a big choice, though it's not quite as momentous as you might think. You get to keep all three cars, so the one you choose is just the one you start driving immediately after the tutorial. However, there is one choice that helps make some of the upcoming festival events a bit easier.

In this guide, we give our pick for the best Forza Horizon 6 starter car and why it's worth driving it around a bit before you take it for a spin in ranked races.

Best Forza Horizon 6 starter car

At the beginning of Forza Horizon 6, you get to choose from three different starter cars. Here are all the Forza Horizon 6 starter cars:

  • GMC Jimmy
  • Toyota Celica GT-Four ST25
  • Nissan Silvia K'S

After testing all of these, our pick for the best starter car in Forza Horizon 6 is the Nissan Silvia K'S. It's well suited to road races, which is convenient seeing as the tutorial race that begins as soon as you pick a car is a road race. This B-tier of street racing cars that you'll be dealing with for a while also has a specific set of quirks that can take some getting used to, and it's easier to learn them now rather than in the middle of a campaign race.

The Silvia tends to drift wider than you might anticipate. When you try sliding around a turn and think you'll stay on the road or off the wall, you probably won't, not without some speed adjustments before you go into the turn. Which relates to the second quirk with this class of car: loose handling. You usually need to start slowing down a few meters before the road guide tells you to, and it helps to brake a little harder than you might. It doesn't have to be a full stop. Just take your finger off the acceleration button a bit early and tap โ€” don't hold โ€” the brakes a few times as you turn.

It'll make staying on the inside of the turn a lot easier, which means you're less likely to get overtaken or drift too far and slam into a wall. If you're struggling to get the timing right and you're racing in solo mode, don't hesitate to rewind and try again after a mistake until you feel comfortable.

Horizon Festival starter cars

After you qualify for the Horizon Festival, you get another set of three cars to choose from:

  • RAM 1500 TRX
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition
  • Toyota GR86

The situation is the same here as with the first choice. All three cars belong to you, and the one you pick is just the one you immediately start driving afterward. We recommend selecting the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition, though. Its higher speed makes it much better for driving in the open-world, and it's the car the game recommends for several of the next qualifying races. Get used to how it handles.

That wraps up our guide on the best starter car in Forza Horizon 6. While you're here, why don't you check out our Forza Horizon 6 review. We've also got features on the Forza Horizon 6 best PC settings and the Forza Horizon 6 performance on Steam Deck.

Mortal Shell 2: Desolate Keep walkthrough (Part 16)

!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/mortal-shell-2-standing-in-desolate-keep.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) The Desolate Keep, hidden away behind an illusory wall in the Marrow Keep, is one of the most intriguing dungeons it's possible to find in Mortal Shell 2(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/mortal-shell-2). It may not be the longest dungeon in the game, but it's likely the most layered, with multiple secret passages, and more than a few nods to one of the oldest and most iconic levels in gaming. It's also far more challenging than most areas you can find in Fainweald, which is why we've left it until now to tackle. But now, it's time. Below I'll walk you through exactly how to 100% the Desolate Keep, revealing every secret with easy to follow, step-by-step instructions. !(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/mortal-shell-2-lost-child-close-up.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) The Sanguine Caverns can be found at the very northmost point of the Mortal Shell 2(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/mortal-shell-2) map, and contains the game's third major boss: the frightful Lost Child. With everything else in Fainweald now conquered, it's time for us to journey to these far north reaches and cleanse the land of its last scant bits of corruption. Below, I've put together an easy to follow step-by-step guide to the entire region of the Sanguine Caverns, including every dungeon, every foe and boss encounter, and every tucked away valuable item - of which there are several in this area of Fainweald! The Blood of Dawnwalker: All endings explained

!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/TBODCoenEnding.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) The Blood of Dawnwalker(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/the-blood-of-dawnwalker) has one main goal for Coen โ€“ to save his family. You spend 30 days (and nights) figuring out your best defence against Brencis, levelling up skills, collecting armour and teaming up with allies. But it turns out defeating him isn't the only way to get everyone home safe. In fact, sometimes defeating him might still lead to the demise of your nearest and dearest. I played through the game's four full story endings to see what would happen and, unfortunately, it's bad news for Lunka at almost every turn. There's also three additional early endings you can try on for size, which we'll cover at the end. In this guide I'll fully explain how to get all endings in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and what can happen to your family along the way in each case.
