Most Lego sets are here for a good time, not a long time. The Lego Company regularly cycles older builds out of active production to make room for new ones. After stock runs out in stores, they become exclusively available through secondary markets like eBay, where they fetch much higher prices than their original market value. Earlier this month, Brick Fanatics compiled a list of every Lego set being discontinued at the end of 2026, and there are some real heavyweights in the bunch. Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Jurassic World, Mario, Animal Crossing, and One Piece all have builds headed for the big brick factory in the sky. Here are five of the most notable sets being retired.
1 Millennium Falcon

When people think of Star Wars Legos, one of the first things that comes to mind is Han Solo’s legendary cargo runner, the Millennium Falcon. While this latest set certainly isn’t the first Lego version of the ship, the product page describes it as “the largest, most detailed Lego® Star Wars Millennium Falcon model we’ve ever created.” It’s 7,541 pieces and goes for a similarly eye-popping $849.99. The set was released nearly a decade ago on Sep. 14, 2017, making it by far the longest-in-production set that’s being retired on Dec. 31, 2026.
2 X-Men: The X-Mansion

The X-Men’s home base always seems to be under attack, as shown in the X-Men: The X-Mansion set. This 3,093-piece build features a Sentinel laying siege to Xavier’s school, as Professor X, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Jean Grey, Bishop, Gambit, and Cyclops join forces with Magneto to take the robot down. It was released on Nov. 1, 2024, and goes for $329.99
3 Batman Forever Batmobile

Nearly every version of the Caped Crusader’s Batmobile has been rendered in brick form, but the Batman Forever Batmobile is one of the better ones. This recreation of Bruce Wayne’s rocket-like ride from the Val Kilmer-helmed ’95 film comes in 909 pieces and costs $99.99. Admittedly, it’s not quite as cool as this year’s Batman Returns Batmobile, but it's much cheaper, so there’s that.
4 Star Wars Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser

Okay, so this is admittedly another Star Wars one, but just look at it; it’s so large! The Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is the in-universe predecessor to the iconic Death Star, and as such, it’s an absolute behemoth. This set is 5,374 pieces with a similarly massive price tag of $649.99. It’s been in active duty since Oct. 1, 2023.
5 Minecraft’s Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring (aka the Chicken Jockey one)

Remember the Minecraft movie, and its inexplicable popularity tied to a baby zombie riding a chicken? The Minecraft Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring Lego set recreates this scene. Whether you want to gift it to a loved one obsessed with the Chicken Jockey or you just love ironic kitsch, this set isn’t long for this world. It’s 491 pieces and costs $49.99, putting it on the cheaper end compared to the other builds on this list.
