You will encounter the hotel room calendar puzzle during the "Escape" mission, which is the second mission in Silent Hill: Townfall, following "Cold Open." After crawling through the flooded building, you will reach a hotel room with the number 204 on the door. Following the cutscene, you have to leave this hotel room, but the door is locked.

The key to escaping room 204 is the calendar wheel on the bathroom door. The outer ring shows the day, the middle ring shows the month, and the inner ring shows the year. You must rotate this wheel until it displays the correct date. To find the correct date, find the following clues:

• The day: Pull out the CRTV and watch the second video. You'll see the number "18th" on the screen.
• The month: In the same CRTV video, you will get a brief glimpse of a paper calendar. Someone's drawn a red circle around January.
• The year: The room service card on the desk shows the year 1996 at the top.
