Those two names make a lot of sense within the Injustice lore, as Supergirl played a big role in stopping Brainiac's invasion in Injustice 2. Batwoman is more of a mystery at this stage, as the character met a grisly fate in the pages of the Injustice comic book, which officially tied into the overall narrative of the fighting game series.
This alternate-Earth version of Batwoman--Katherine "Kate" Kane under the cowl and red wig--worked with Batman against Superman's regime, but in the fifth year of the rebellion, she sacrificed herself to manually activate a dimensional transporter that brought the DC Universe's Justice League heroes to the darker dimension. The Regime Superman apparently incinerated her with his heat vision at the last moment, seemingly killing her, but as any comic book reader will know, no one stays dead for long in that medium.
The last Injustice game was released back in 2017, and since then, NetherRealm ended the mainline Mortal Kombat universe with the superb Mortal Kombat 11 in 2019, and then gave it a soft reset with Mortal Kombat 1 in 2023.
