Paradise fish is a rare material that you can only find in Lake Brontes, a fishing node on the south side of Saveilon. You should have a party of characters around level 25 to traverse this region without too much trouble in case enemies appear in your path.

Since paradise fish is the rarest material in the Lake Brontes node, you might need more than one turn using the "Search" command to collect one. You can always save before attempting to gather it, and if you fail, just reload the game. Another option is to leave a battalion to collect materials from that node, but this is only available on Theodora's path.

The fastest way to get to the Lake Brontes node from Dagsion, if you have already explored the Saveilon area, is using the carriage to travel to the Salacia Posthouse. Then, you make your way south. Once you reach the Axion Gorge node, you have the option to go east through the Valhalla Mine dungeon or continue moving south and go east after the Faun's Forest node. While the first option is the best one if you'd like to take the opportunity to level up your characters, the second will unlock the path to the Messalina Orchards, a settlement where you can buy rare plants.

Besides using it to prepare meals at feast nodes or trade it for items with the Vandahl Trading Co., you will need one paradise fish to recruit Ninae, the Angel of Death. After you have reached the minimum support and renown level requirements to recruit her (which differs depending on the route you're playing), you will need to deliver one of these rare fish to Ninae to convince her to join your team. She is a strong unit that comes with the "Diadem of Reflection" bloodmark, which gives her a +30 hit bonus when attacking, if it triggers.
