Overview & Key Takeaways

Here's a list with all recruitable characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and the requirements to invite each character to your party.

Recruiting characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is an important feature in the early game โ€” but a crucial one in later chapters. Regardless of the path you choose to play in Part 1, you'll have a starting group of characters to play with. However, to win the Heroic Games, the protagonists of each path will need all the allies they can get.

To help you find the best units and form the strongest army you can, we've prepared this guide listing all the recruitable characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, along with the requirements each has to join your group. Besides, we also explain how the recruiting process works and how to raise support level.

This is an in-progress guide since we still need to discover the negotiation conditions of three characters, but we will be sure to update the list once we have them.

[Ed. note: This guide contains spoilers for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave so keep that in mind as you read through it!]

How to recruit characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

In Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, to recruit a character, you must first give them a gift to unlock the "Recruit" dialogue option. Then, you must meet their support level and renown level requirements in relation to the Flame Lord you are playing with (Cai, Dietrich, Theodora or Leda). Once they accept becoming part of your team, you can use them in battles and engage in other activities, like temple services.

Some characters may have two other requirements in their "Conditions" tab: paralogues and negotiations. The former are unique missions that start appearing in Chapter 10 and are only available for a short period of time. On the other hand, negotiations are different for each character. One can make a request, giving you a side quest to complete, while others will ask for a certain number of items.

A character's support and renown requirements are different depending on the protagonist you're playing with. Some may not even be recruitable in specific routes. If this is the case, but you want to have that character on your roster, you can just play the path where that character is available. Characters you have already recruited on one route will still be available on the other, but you can only recruit characters during Part 1.

Some characters, like Anatolia, will appear as "not recruitable," but you can make her and other important characters part of your team in Part 3 by completing their paralogue missions in Part 1. Each Flame Lord has their own paralogue mission as well, and completing them is the quickest way to add them to your team without having to complete all paths to secure them. However, by completing only their paralogues, you will have partial access to them, which means that you can use them in battles, but they don't appear in story-focused segments.

Below, you find a list of characters whose paralogue you must complete to have them in your team in the last part of the game:

  • Anatolia
  • Bertrand
  • Cai
  • Dietrich
  • Leda
  • Orchel
  • Talimun
  • Theodora

How to increase the support level in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

While you will steadily increase a Flame Lord's renown level by progressing the campaign and completing side quests, you can utilize multiple methods to raise a character's support level. Here are all the ways to obtain support points:

  • Use link attacks
  • Using support actions like buffs during fights
  • Training together
  • Gifting
  • Meals
  • Performing temple services together
  • Watching a play in the theater
  • Using the thermea

For meals, temple services, attending the theater, and bathing in the thermea, you must always make sure to select the Flame Lord of the route you're playing, if you want them to meet the recruiting requirement of a character.

All recruitable characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

The list below contains all the characters you can actively recruit by meeting their support and renown requirements. For a better understanding, we have structured the following table to have one column for each Flame Lord, allowing you to identify the support level and renown level each protagonist must be with a character to recruit them.

When a character's requirement cell contains only "teammate," it means that they are part of the initial party you obtain when playing such a path, and we left "????" for the characters we haven't discovered the negotiation conditions yet.
