1. Enter the Deserted Slums.
From the Outskirts Of Mammon Beacon, head right, straight past the two Brigand camps, and across the bridge to where you found Ruk's statue. Head down either slope, past the Tarblighted Miners, and use the Bone Gate on the cliff edge to travel back to the last part of the Outskirts Of Mammon you explored in the previous part of our walkthrough.

Kill the Wretches in your way again if they've respawned, and then cross the bridge on your right. Cross the next two bridges after that, and kill the Brigand Stoner in your way.
Welcome, Harbinger, to the Deserted Slums - a gateway sub-region to the western edges of Mammon.
Mark step as completed.
2. Obtain the Map Of Mammon [4].
Once you're across the bridge, climb up the wooden platform on your right, and loot the 2x Common Moonshine on the cart. Head further up and a Tarblighted Miner will drop down behind you from higher up on the platform. Kill him, then follow the path around the corner.
A Headsman will drop down from above in front of you as you enter this new area. Kill it, and any Tarblighted Miners who slowly approach you from either the left path or the path directly ahead.
The crisscrossing pathways in the Deserted Slums are a nest of worms, but to make things easier, we're going to beeline down the path that takes you to the map of this area.
Turn left, and follow the wooden path, killing any more Miners and Brigands in your way. Loot the Coin Pouch from the cart to your right, and then take the leftmost path and cut through the two wooden pavises barring your way. Behind them, in a walled off archway, you can loot a Coin Of Mammon.
Turn back and take the parallel path beside the pavise path, killing the Stoner and Miner up the slope. Head straight on down the alley between the buildings, and turn left (ignore the Miner to your right).
Follow this curved pathway upwards to a Subjugated Sentry on the cliff edge. Kill it, and keep going. At the top, turn around and loot the Weltcap at the base of the tree.
Just past the tree, there's a Headsman overlooking the foggy horizon. Kill it, then turn the left corner from where it was standing, and kill the Brigand at the end of this side-path. Here you'll find a Ventrium to loot.
Now backtrack round the corner and take the first right. You'll see Ruk directly ahead of you, on one of his map statues. As you approach, you'll trigger the spawning of a few Tarred Corpses around you. Kill them, and then loot Ruk's statue to obtain the Map Of Mammon [4], covering this entire region of Mammon.
Opposite Ruk's statue you'll also find the Lonesome Spire Beacon. Activate the Beacon. It doesn't need cleansing, and we won't go further in this direction quite yet, so rest here before turning around and going back down the way you came.
Mark step as completed.
3. Backtrack to the Deserted Slums Beacon.
Go down the slope again, killing the Sentry once more. Now, take the first left at the bottom of the slope, and kill the Tarblighted Miner in the ruined hut.
Head out the righthand exit and kill the Stoner and Miner there, then pop back into the hut and take the exit straight on instead, killing another Stoner in your way.
Around the corner you'll find another Miner on the edge of another hut. Kill it, and loot the Laterite from the wood cart. Around the corner of the house there's also a Common Moonshine.
Turn around and return to the entrance to this area from the hut. There's a bridge directly opposite, but ignore it for now. Instead, go to the wooden wall opposite the grate to the left. Break down the wooden wall, and follow this pathway down.

At the second wooden wall to break down, you'll find 2x Common Moonshine, and just ahead, another Miner to kill. Keep going, destroy the final wooden wall in your way, and you'll enter a swampy pond area at the bottom. Clear this entire pond of Miners.
Near the centre of the pond, you'll no doubt have already seen there's a Beacon. Loot the Dorsalite on the statue beside the Beacon, and then activate the Deserted Slums Beacon and rest if needed.

Mark step as completed.
4. Conquer the Obsidianite Mines.
Turn around from the Beacon, and you'll see a dungeon entrance directly opposite. Head through it to enter the Obsidianite Mines.
Kill the Miner at the bottom of the elevator, and sidestep the obvious section of collapsing floor in the next room to reach the Ventrium on the other side.
Then step onto the collapsing floor, falling downwards into the room below. Kill the three Miners around you, and loot another Ventrium from the side of the room.
Head down the one path out of this room, and kill the two Lithopods ahead. In the next room, there's a slope leading up and to your right, where a Batushka is walking. Kill the Batushka, and then carefully drop down to the next-lowest sloped platform, and then the next, killing the Batushka on each ledge as you go.
This path leads across to a boss room, but before you do that, drop down to the floor below you. Kill the four Miners down here, and loot the three Bone Statues for 3x Dorsalite.
Now use the air current to ride back up, and head into the boss room before you, where you'll face the Prophet Of Profane Infinities.
The Prophet is more or less just a regular Faceless Clerik, albeit with slightly amped up stats. He really can't do much against you as long as you time your parries to his slow-moving hammer attacks.
Once you deal the killing blow, you'll receive a brand new weapon - the massive Obsidian Hammer. You'll also receive a Paradoxical Scripture, a PP item used to cure the Stasis status effect.
Once you've finished inspecting your new hard-hitting weapon, interact with the glowing orb in the room to exit the Obsidianite Mines. Go back and rest at the Beacon if needed.
Mark step as completed.
5. Conquer the Collapsed Mine.
Now, it's time to use the elevator right next to the Deserted Slums Beacon. Use the lever on the wooden platform to call it down, then ride it to the top.
Kill the Miners and the Headsman at the top, and loot the cart directly in front of the elevator for a Ventrium. You may recall this is the path ahead which you didn't pick earlier, electing instead to head left towards Ruk's map.
Take the left route from the elevator and cross the bridge. Kill the Miners and the Stoner here, and head into the tunnel. Here you'll find another dungeon entrance, so head through it to enter the Collapsed Mine.
Again, kill the Miner at the bottom of the elevator. Head towards the pavises at the end of the path, and another Miner will drop down behind you from above. Kill it too, and destroy the pavises to keep going.
Three Miners later, you'll have found a small room where you can loot a Ventrium from some boxes in the corner. Opposite that is a chest containing a new Tarstone - the Shattering Stone.
At the far end of this room there's a narrow passage past another pavise that leads to an air current. Ride it to the top, and kill the Netopyrs that appear in your face.
Before you go further, turn around and carefully drop down to the ledge halfway up between the ground floor and your current ledge; loot the Laterite on this ledge, and then drop down and use the air current again to reach the top once more.
That's everything in this dungeon - this pathway leads you back to the start, so use it to exit the dungeon.
Mark step as completed.
6. Pass through the Coffin Village.
Next to the dungeon entrance, beyond another Ventrium, there's an air current. Use it, cross the bridge ahead, and defeat the Stoner and Miner in your way. You'll notice you're back at the start of that path where you had to destroy the wooden walls to reach the swampy pond where you found the Beacon.
Head back into the hut opposite the bridge, and exit out the left. Kill the enemies here once again, and then head to the wooden platform in front of you, overlooking the swamp. Pull the lever on the wooden beam to your right to activate the elevator, taking you back down into the swamp.
Yes, you could have just gone back the way you came instead, but I wanted to make sure you knew that there are two elevators leading out from this swamp!
Cross over to the left side of the opposite elevator, where you first arrived in this swamp area. There's a doorway to the left, guarded by another Brigand Stoner, and behind him, two Brigands. Kill them all.
Turn left, loot the Weltcap at the base of the tree, and then head across the bridge sloping upwards. Follow this path to the top, where you'll be ambushed by a creature you've only seen once or twice before: a Ravenous Flesh.
Ravenous Fleshes are actually pretty easy. Just dodge well clear of that first attack (it's more annoying than fatal, as it holds you still for ages), and kill it swiftly with repeated light attacks, which are enough to stunlock it in most cases.
You're now in the outskirts of what I'm calling Coffin Village, for obvious reasons. There's a left path into the rest of the village, but head straight on down the alleyway first, where you'll find a 75x Coin Pouch and a Laterite.
Now head into the village properly. There's a Bone Gate by the broken bridge to your left, but ignore it for now, and head right instead. Turn right at the noticeboard and sidle around the righthand side of the church, where you'll find a Synaptic Vessel among the gravestones.
Opposite the noticeboard is a forge with another measly 65x Coin Pouch. Loot it, and then check to the left of the noticeboard for another even measlier 50x Coin Pouch. Stingy coffins!
Take the righthand path beyond the noticeboard, killing any more Ravenous Fleshes you encounter. This path leads up out of the village, to a doorway guarded by another Tarblighted Miner. Kill him too, and pass through the doorway.
Mark step as completed.
8. Reach the Abandoned Outpost.
Take the lefthand path back the way you came. When you reach the well, turn left and you'll see a set of steps leading up to a walkway around the side of the house here. Follow it to a 350x Coin Pouch (finally, some decent money), then return.
Turn right from the well. You can knock on the door to your right here if you want to hear some muffled crying (you do you). Otherwise, proceed forward. Ignore the elevator on your right; head straight on, and then take the final left.
Kill the Fleshes and Miner in your way, and turn right. Follow this path to the end, kill the Miner there, and then use the Bone Gate to reach a higher ledge across the gap. Loot the Dorsalite up here, then return across the gap.
As you return across the wooden platform, you can see on your left that directly below you is that air current next to the Collapsed Mine dungeon entrance. We won't be using it, it's just good to know.
Head back into the village and take the first right, which leads back into the village centre, where the noticeboard, church, and forge were. Again, kill anything in your way, but this time head to that Bone Gate by the broken bridge on the far end, and use it to cross the gap to the north.
Kill the Subjugated Sentry on the far side, then check the left side for an Egon's Stone and 300x Gloom on the stone slab. After that, follow the path to the right of the Bone Gate. As you head up the slope, read the sign by the stairs to your right for an indicator that there's a Nighttime-only secret here.

Go up those stairs and you'll find a sitting spot, a note on Mammon history, and - around the righthand corner - a Sheep and a Dorsalite. Kill the Sheep for a Sheephead Totem.
Backtrack down the stairs and keep going up the slope. Loot the 100x Coin Pouch on the cart to your left, and then activate the Abandoned Outpost Beacon ahead of you.
Mark step as completed.
9. Cleanse the Big Ol' Hole.
Rest at the Beacon, and select "Cleanse Beacon". Open the chest ahead for 1000x Coin, then descend the elevator to enter the wonderfully named Big Ol' Hole.
Kill the Armed Knave guarding the hole, and destroy the crates to the right to reveal a new pathway. Collect a Laterite from the Bone Statue, then keep going, killing another Knave on the way.
At the bottom (below the hole), you'll find a Tarred Vestige, as well as two ice-element Skulks hiding behind pillars to the left. Kill them all, and loot the Bone Statue at the far end for another Laterite.
Then press the stone button on the wall beside the Bone Statue, and make your way back up to the top of the hole. Behind the hole, a gate has lifted. Head through it, open the chest to obtain the Accursed Stone, and then cleanse the corruption for an Ovum and Glimpse.
Mark step as completed.
10. Visit the Collector at Night.
You can do this next step at any time, but now's as good a moment as any, as long as you have good Coin reserves! Back at the Beacon, use it to return to the Marrow Keep, and head to the top of the tower. Speak with Thestus there, and switch the world to Nighttime.
Also, speak with Thestus as Eredrim if you haven't already for some unique dialogue and a Glimpse!
Then fast travel back to the same Abandoned Outpost Beacon. Turn around and head up those stairs again, where you found the Sheep. Now, there's an NPC here, called the Collector. Interact with him to gain access to his unique shop.
Here's the full list of wares sold by the Collector:
- 1x Fulminant Stone (1500x Coin)
- 1x Infested Stone (1500x Coin)
- 1x Weeping Stone (1500x Coin)
- 1x Infused Stone (1500x Coin)
- 3x Glimpse (500x Coin each)
- 2x Thoracium (2500x Coin each)
- 1x Blackmarrow Key (1500x Coin)
- 10x Tarcore (1000x Coin each)
You can come back anytime, so there's no reason to buy anything now, but if you can, it's nice to have the extra Glimpse and the Blackmarrow Key. Those Tarstones are for weapons you don't yet have, so you can buy them now or come back to them later on.
When you're ready, return to the Marrow Keep and set everything to Daytime once again before returning to the Abandoned Outpost Beacon.
Mark step as completed.
11. Clear out the Bellkeeper's Corner.
Head up the slope to the right of the Beacon, looting the Weltcap on the way. There's a Bone Gate to your right; it leads back to the Outskirts Of Mammon, near Ruk's first Mammon map statue. No need to use it right now.
Continue around the corner and kill the Brigand Stoner at the base of the tree. At the Bone Gate beyond, turn around and head up the sloped stone walkway. Use your Sidearm to shoot the bell above, which creates a bridge across the gap ahead of you.
Cross the gap and descend through the fog into the Bellkeeper's Corner dungeon.
Past the elevator, kill the two Brigands on the near side, and shoot the Crossbowman on the far side. To deal with the Stoner, shoot the bell on your left in front of the gap to create another bridge. Cross it, kill the Stoner, and loot the Bone Statue for a Laterite.
Look across to the next ledge, which has a chest on it, and another bell. Shoot the bell, cross over to the chest and open it for a new Tarstone: the Spite Stone.
That's it. Pathetic excuse for a dungeon, really. Return the way you came.
Mark step as completed.
