“Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA. We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation,” Parker and Stone said in an official announcement.
The South Park creators are poking fun at Trump's executive orders that renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and Lake Ontario to Lake America. Tech companies like Apple and Google quickly reacted to those orders, updating the names of each body of water on Apple Maps and Google Maps, respectively. Trump has also posted about renaming the state of New Mexico to New America, which he has no legal authority to do, but which Silicon Valley sycophants would embrace with great cowardice to curry favor with the current president.
Trump has been a big target for South Park in recent years. In Seasons 27 and 28 of the animated comedy, Trump is shown having sex with (and impregnating) Satan. Trump's flaccid penis is also shown.
