Arc Raiders' last live update until Frozen Trails releases today bringing players new rubber ducks and a reminder that you've one month to spend your expiring currency
Overview & Key Takeaways
There's also a new Raider Project to fill the time with.
We're just a month away from Arc Raiders' major update Frozen Trails which promises new arcs, maps, and a movement overhaul. It sounds pretty impressive, and I'm excited to have a new reason to head Topside. But before we can enjoy the tundra Embark has one more small update for players, and it's live right now.
"Update 1.45.0 is going live right now and with it a number of fixes, a new Raider Project, the start of the fifth Expedition, the Hornet Hunter Set and changes coming to Cred," a blog post reads. "This will be our last Live Update before October 8, but we won't be going quiet in the meantime, a smaller update is still planned before then."

The new Raider Project sees players help Apollo continue work on an experiment which will let us follow the mystery phantom arc signals over the mountain range and beyond the perimeter for the tube system. Completing the required tasks will allow Apollo to finish his work.

This slots into the following Frozen Trails update as the new map is actually located over the mountains just beyond any raiders' current reach. When players get there they'll be able to track down the exact location of the arc signals and find out if Shani's concern was warranted or not. It's probably going to be warranted.
Weโll be introducing a more expansive reward system launching with the Frozen Trail Update.

Other than a new project players will also be able to enjoy all the new community-made rubber ducks. There's a colourful confetti duck, one dressed as a very smart penguin with a bowtie, and an X-ray duck. You can grab these in the usual places in Bird City and display them in your den.
The most important part of this update, however, isn't the new project or ducks (debatable), it's actually the heads up about Arc Raiders' changing Cred system.
"We are retiring Cred as a currency, as weโll be introducing a more expansive reward system launching with the Frozen Trail Update," the post explains. "All existing Raider Deck rewards will also be available in the new system. You will keep any rewards you have already claimed at the time of the update."

Cred will remain usable up until October 8, though, so if you have any spare lying around Embark encourages you to "use any remaining Cred before then". Come October 8 any remaining Cred on your account will expire and will become unusable. So the message is: use it or lose it.
