Beast Of Reincarnation: Red Key location

Exploring the first map in Beast Of Reincarnation, it won't be long before you come across the Abandoned Village in the south, where you'll find a locked door that can only be opened with the "Red Key". So, where is this Red Key, and how do you obtain it? And what's on the other side of that locked door?

The Red Key is actually part of the main story quest in Chapter 1, and is used to unlock an even more important door later on. But once you have it, you should remember to head back to the Abandoned Village and open this locked door for a nice little extra reward.

How to get the Red Key

The Red Key can be found inside Subcity 03 in the Chapter 1 map, but the way is locked until after you fight the Rangifer Nushi boss for the first time. After you drop into the Rangifer's arena in the north of the map, and defeat it in combat, you'll automatically start a flashback sequence where Emma is back in Ogouchi Colony.

Proceed through the flashback by hunting down the Malefacts. Once you complete the flashback, you'll find yourself back in the Cleanse Walker in the present day. Rest in your bed, and then - once you're able - head back out into the wilderness.

Now you can open the path into Subcity 03, the location of the Red Key. The entrance to Subcity 03 is located on the north side above the Rangifer arena. Turn the crank to open the hatch leading down underground.

Follow the ramp down into Subcity 03, and you'll find a Campsite to rest at, and a locked door in front of you. Approach the locked door, and a cutscene will trigger, where you can speak with the Retired Gatekeeper Golem sitting by the door. The Gatekeeper holds the Red Key, and will hand it over to you during the conversation.

The Red Key alone isn't enough to open the locked door in front of you. As the Gatekeeper explains, you'll also need - in true videogame fashion - to obtain the Blue Key and the Yellow Key. Fortunately, their locations are marked on your map by the Gatekeeper, and are very easy to find.

What's behind the Red Key Door in the Abandoned Village?

Aside from allowing you to progress the main quest in Chapter 1, you can also use the Red Key to unlock the locked door inside the Abandoned Village, very near where you started the Chapter. The locked door is found to the left of the talking Rusted Golem which pointed you towards the Subcities in the first place.

Once you unlock the door, head up the stairs in front of you, and you'll find a room containing a Strongbox. The Strongbox contains 558x Amber and an Ancient Book (Common). There's nothing else to be found inside this building, so feel free to exit and continue with the main mission once you've found the Strongbox.
