Overview & Key Takeaways

Coming to mobile devices later this year, Palworld Online is an MMO spin-off from the 2024 hit that promises base-building, PvE, and PvP gameplay.

Palworld Online, a massively multiplayer online spin-off from the 2024 creature-collecting megahit Palworld, has been announced today by developer Pocketpair.

Coming exclusively to iOS and Android in 2026, Palworld Online is described in the official news release as reconstructing "the depth, freedom, and scale unique to Palworld, for mobile devices."

"Centered around online multiplayer where players can meet in the same world and enjoy cooperation, competition, and joint base building, the game also incorporates its own unique story setting and original storyline," reads an auto-translated version of the news release. "Set in a vast, seamlessly connected open world, players can enjoy adventures with friends anytime, anywhere, alongside the mysterious creatures called pals."

Yep, that sure sounds like Palworld. Terry Zhao, the president of Garena, the publisher behind Palworld (and Palworld Online) explained: "We want to deliver a new experience on mobile where players can connect with each other and adventure together. Working closely with Pocketpair, we are optimizing the game so that it can be enjoyed comfortably on mobile devices without sacrificing the depth, immersion, and freedom that are characteristic of Palworld."

Here are the four main features of Palworld Online, courtesy of the news release:

  1. Enjoy exploration and Pal capture/raising in a seamless open world

Players will freely explore a vast, seamlessly connected world with their Pals, facing various challenges while finding hidden treasures and clues to the story.

By capturing and raising Pals and unlocking new areas, players will deepen their bond with their Pals through encounters and discoveries.

Furthermore, in addition to the game's unique story setting and original story, new side stories created specifically for this game will allow players to enjoy the world of 'Pal World Online' even more deeply.

  1. Enjoy online multiplayer by meeting and cooperating with friends

Players can meet other players in the field, form parties, build joint bases, and enjoy various cooperative and competitive content.

You can enjoy challenging PvE content with friends and heated PvP battles. You can

also enjoy playing at your own pace, such as visiting other players' bases, cooperating with friends to challenge powerful bosses that appear in the open world, and searching for rare Pals together.

  1. A Joint Base Built and Developed with Friends and Pals

You can build a joint base with your friends and develop it as the center of construction, defense, and daily life. You can expand buildings, assign Pals to automate production, and entrust them with base defense, creating your own unique base to spend time with your friends.

  1. Intuitive Controls Optimized for Mobile Devices

The UI and controls have been optimized for smartphone play. In addition to intuitive touch controls, it also supports one-tap controls.

Base design, construction, relocation, Pal placement and management are all designed to be performed smoothly on smartphones. We are also developing the game to be playable comfortably on a wide range of devices, while aiming for a gameplay experience that does not compromise the depth and freedom unique to "Pal World".

More details about the specific release date and "future developments" will be announced in due course.

Epic Games’ New Voice Chat Lets You Keep Talking To Friends While Playing Different Games🖥 PlayStation, PC, Mobile, Multi-platform

Epic Games’ New Voice Chat Lets You Keep Talking To Friends While Playing Different Games

Epic Games has announced that it's going to make it easier than ever to hang out and talk with friends across different platforms by launching Epic Parties. This voice chat service will work across Fortnite (on all supported platforms), the Epic Games Store launcher (PC, iOS, and Android), and the Epic Games app (iOS and Android). For example, you can start a voice party from your phone or PC launcher, ring up a friend who is busy playing Fortnite on their PlayStation, and even transfer that call from your phone to your PC when you get back to your desk. This means that you can sit in on a voice call through the Epic PC Launcher while playing completely different games from your Epic library. Other benefits include a seamless approach to grouping friends together, as Epic says that if you're in a voice party with friends and everyone decides to open Fortnite, then the game will automatically drop you all into the same lobby together. This new feature is competing directly with Discord, which has been the go-to third-party app for users for several years. Epic's built-in alternative aims to let users bring their social list, voice channels, and digital avatar with them across multiple platforms and from game to game, whether you are on iOS, Android, PC, or console. Epic has also hinted that these voice and avatar systems will be integrated directly into Unreal Engine 6, and the tools will be offered to other developers in time. For now, it's currently rolling out to Fortnite, and Epic Parties will be available in Rocket League next year. According to Epic's year-in-review stats(https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/people-spent-more-but-played-less-on-the-epic-games-store-in-2025/2900-7449/), over $1 billion was spent in the store in 2025, and it reached an all-time record of 78 million monthly active users on PC. Earlier this year, Epic spoke more about its plans to further improve its digital storefront(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/epic-explains-its-blend-of-blockbusters-and-smaller-games-for-weekly-freebies/1100-6538882/). "Our goal is to keep building a storefront and launcher that players want to engage with and use to grow their game library, but we need to be able to connect players with the game they want to play at the time they want to play it," Kyle Billings, director of strategy and business operations at the Epic Games Store, said to GameSpot.

Final Fantasy Resonance Is Getting A Demo And A Sephiroth

!Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/09/03/12367d3d/resonance02.jpg.webp) If you want to give Final Fantasy Resonance a shot before release, you're in luck. Sony and Square Enix announced during a State of Play that a demo for the game is available today ahead of its October 22 release. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. It was also revealed that Sephiroth will make an appearance in the game. Final Fantasy Resonance is a heavily overhauled port of the mobile game, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which featured myriad character cameos from various Final Fantasy games, so his appearance isn't too surprising (Cloud is also in the game), but it's nice to have a confirmation. !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/09/03/82694391/resonance01.jpg.webp)
